Soybeans were planted with 3444 grams of soil in each pot to keep them even (roughly 7.5 pounds). One pot has ten earthworms, the other has none. Those ten earthworms are feeding on our samdy loam consisting of ##% Sand, ##% Silt and ##% Clay. Thirty earthworms at Wal-Mart cost $3.19 which Shonda purchased due to lack of funds from our school. The left over 20 earthworms are awaiting a fishing trip on a bright sunny day.

Our hypothesis is that the earthworms castings will fertilize our plants and that the tunnels they make will aerate the soil promoting root growth.

This is our greenhouse where we will be conducting our experiment.
